Ranking Imagine Interiors
Where It Should Be

A site audit and ranking strategy for a Dhaka interior design firm

Imagine Interiors has been doing quality interior design work in Dhaka since 2013. Their portfolio is real, their client reviews are genuine, and their service coverage is broad. But on Google, they are not ranking where any of that history would suggest they should. This audit explains why, and what to do about it.

01

What the site already has going for it

A fair audit starts with what is working before it gets to what is not.

Imagine Interiors runs on WordPress with a clean service hierarchy. They cover residential, office, restaurant, exterior, and furniture design across dedicated pages. A portfolio section shows completed projects, the testimonials page has real reviews, and the site has been indexed and crawled without obvious technical blockers. The domain has age and the brand has genuine recognition among Dhaka homeowners who have worked with them directly.

The problem is not the business. The problem is that search engines cannot fully read or interpret what is on the site, because the SEO fundamentals have been left mostly untouched. That is fixable. And because the foundation is already solid, the fixes tend to produce results faster than they would on a weaker site.

02

Nine gaps, ranked by how much they hurt

These are the specific issues found during a manual audit of imagineinteriors.design, in order of ranking impact.

01 High
No structured data on any page
Zero JSON-LD schema found across the site. Google cannot confidently classify the business type, read the NAP, understand service types, or use the reviews in search results. This also affects AI search tools like Gemini and Perplexity, which pull local business data from structured markup first. Competitors with proper schema are being cited in AI answers; this site is not.
Fix Add LocalBusiness and InteriorDesigner schema on the homepage with full NAP, opening hours, and service area. Add Service schema to each service page. Add AggregateRating schema to the testimonials page. Rich result eligibility follows within 4 to 6 weeks.
02 High
Title tags lack neighbourhood signals
The homepage title is reasonable, but service pages follow a template with no area-level specificity. No Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Uttara, or Mirpur signals appear in titles or H1s. These are the actual phrases people in Dhaka type when they are ready to hire someone.
Fix Rewrite page titles to the format: [Service] in [Area], Dhaka. For example, "Living Room Interior Design in Gulshan, Dhaka | Imagine Interiors." Update the H1 of each service page to match and add the area naturally in the opening paragraph.
03 High
Google Business Profile treated as a directory listing
The GBP exists but shows limited service descriptions, no managed Q&A, no regular photo cadence, and likely no Google Posts history. The map pack for "interior designer Dhaka" is the most visible placement on local searches. A dormant GBP is leaving that placement entirely to competitors.
Fix Fill every GBP field: all service categories, a full keyword-natural description, 20 or more portfolio photos with descriptive filenames, a weekly Google Posts habit, 5 seeded Q&As covering common client questions, and a policy of responding to every review within 48 hours.
04 Medium
Service pages have thin, repetitive content
Pages like /home/bedroom/ and /home/kitchen/ likely run to 150 to 300 words of near-identical copy. Google flags this as thin content. Beyond the ranking issue, these pages do not give a prospective client enough to feel confident before picking up the phone. Multiple thin pages with similar content also compete against each other rather than each owning a distinct keyword space.
Fix Expand each service page to 650 to 900 words with a defined structure: intro, what is included, the design process, a gallery section, a 5-question FAQ with FAQ schema, and a specific CTA. Each page needs a unique H1, unique meta description, and at least one question that someone genuinely types into Google.
05 Medium
Blog exists but has no keyword strategy behind it
Publishing blog content without a keyword plan means posts target topics too broad to rank for or too niche to attract traffic. The informational search traffic that drives warm leads into an interior design business, people researching costs, timelines, and styles before hiring, is going mostly to competitors.
Fix Build a content calendar targeting bottom-funnel informational queries: "apartment interior design cost in Dhaka," "how to choose an interior designer in Bangladesh," "modern living room ideas for Dhaka flats." Each post should link to the relevant service page and the service page should link back. This builds topical authority without building new pages.
06 Medium
No neighbourhood-specific landing pages
There is one Dhaka page but nothing targeting Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Mirpur, or Uttara. These areas have distinct buyer profiles and genuine search volume. A homeowner in Gulshan searching "interior designer Gulshan" finds whoever built an area-specific page. Right now that is not Imagine Interiors.
Fix Create 5 to 6 neighbourhood pages using a consistent template: [Neighbourhood] Interior Design Services. Each page should reference the area naturally, mention project types common to that area, and include a specific CTA. These pages compound in value over time and are low-competition wins.
07 Medium
Images are not optimised for SEO or speed
Portfolio images carry generic WordPress upload filenames. Alt text across the site appears minimal. Interior design is a heavily visual search category. Google Image Search and Google Discover can drive real referral traffic if images are tagged properly, but right now they are invisible to search engines.
Fix Rename all portfolio images before re-uploading: format as [room-type]-interior-design-[neighbourhood]-dhaka.jpg. Write a natural descriptive alt text sentence for every image. Convert to WebP format and compress. Faster load times improve Core Web Vitals, which affects ranking directly.
08 Lower
Internal linking structure is flat
Most pages link back to the homepage and the main services page, but do not connect horizontally. The bedroom design page does not link to the living room page. The kitchen blog post does not link to the kitchen service page. PageRank and topical signals do not flow through the site the way they should.
Fix Audit every service page and blog post. Add 2 to 3 contextual internal links per page. Build a "related services" row on each service page. This is a low-effort task that often produces ranking movement within 3 to 4 weeks of Google recrawling.
09 Lower
No local citation building done
Beyond the GBP, the site appears to lack presence on Bangladeshi business directories, niche platforms like Houzz, or regional listings. NAP consistency across directories reinforces local trust signals for Google. These citations contribute directly to map pack rankings.
Fix Submit consistent NAP to 15 to 20 relevant directories: Bangladeshi business listings, Houzz, Homestyler, and comparable regional platforms. Every listing must match the GBP name, address, and phone number exactly. A one-time task with lasting compounding value.

None of these are difficult problems. They are mostly things that were never set up in the first place. That is actually the best kind of SEO situation to be in, because the upside is entirely untapped.

The 90-day plan

Sequencing matters. Do the technical fixes first so that every content addition gets properly indexed from day one.

Month 1 / Technical Foundation
Fix what search engines read first
  • Implement LocalBusiness, Service, and AggregateRating schema across all key pages
  • Rewrite all title tags and meta descriptions with location and service specificity
  • Fully optimise the Google Business Profile: photos, services, description, Q&A seeding
  • Compress and rename all portfolio images to WebP with descriptive, location-aware filenames
  • Submit consistent NAP to 15 key directories including Houzz and regional BD listings
Month 2 / Content Expansion
Build the pages that capture local search intent
  • Expand 8 service pages to 700 or more words each with unique H1s, FAQs, and internal links
  • Create 5 neighbourhood landing pages: Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Uttara, Mirpur
  • Publish 3 blog posts targeting informational keywords
  • Build internal link connections between all service pages and related blog content
Month 3 / Authority and Momentum
Compound what is already working
  • Set up a systematic post-project review request process for the GBP
  • Publish 4 more blog posts: 2 informational, 2 project showcases with before-and-after visuals
  • Establish a weekly Google Posts rhythm: new project, offer, or seasonal content
  • Review Google Search Console: find pages sitting on positions 8 to 15 and add targeted internal links to push them to page one
  • Produce a 90-day report: organic traffic lift, GBP impression growth, ranking movement

Why this works faster than a new site

Imagine Interiors has 13 years of domain age, a real portfolio, and genuine client reviews. The SEO work is not about building credibility from scratch. It is about making the credibility that already exists visible to Google. That is a much shorter path to results.

The AI search angle

Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT-based search are increasingly citing local service businesses in answers. The schema work and FAQ content in this plan are the fastest routes to being mentioned when someone asks an AI who the best interior designers in Dhaka are.

Is your business in the same position?

If you run a local service business in Bangladesh and you are not ranking where your experience says you should be, this kind of audit is where to start.
